About SmartPlay:
SmartPlay Early Learners is a national brand operated by Christian Education Ministries (CEM) with plans underway to launch several Early Learning Centres around Australia in the coming years.
About the role
If you're keen to inspire a dedicated team of educators whilst building strong relationships with families, then you're invited to consider this exciting opportunity at SmartPlay-Benalla. The offer of Long Day Care commenced in January 2019 and has already gained a positive reputation in the local community as a place where children are well known, well loved and well taught.
The Centre Director is responsible for growing the SmartPlay Early Learners in conjunction with a support team from Head Office and within the centre. The Centre Director will develop a positive culture in serving the families and staff of the SmartPlay, where children learn in a safe and happy environment. The Director will also coordinate day to day centre operations such as administration, health & safety and staff development that results in a quality childcare and early learning experience. The role also entails the management of staff rosters and oversight of the SmartPlay budget.
The position commences February 2021.
About You
- You hold a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- You will be expected to ensure all regulatory obligations are met including NQF, NQS and the EYLF.
- You possess a capacity to lead with a hands-on approach.
- You’re highly motivated and able to build the Centre’s enrolment.
- You’re confident in the use of technology.
- You have a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.

We have a strong focus on school readiness through well-designed literacy and numeracy programs. Smartplay recognises and values staff as having a vital role in the care and education of young children.
